Bloom and Glow with Radiant Health

Do you want to vibrate with love, peace, harmony, health, happiness, joy, grace and serenity all days of your life? Do you want to bloom and glow with inner and outer beauty, vitality, youthful vigor, personal attraction, and a magnetic personality? Do you want to remain physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy everday of your life? Do you want to maintain perpetual youth, perpetual health, and perpetual prime of manhood or perpetual prime of womanhood all days of your life while living in this planet called Earth? Do you want to look younger and live longer without too much wrinkles on your face till the end of your life? If so, learn, know, and understand how to acquire and maintain Radiant Health.

Long before the advent of Western Medicine, Ancient Healers devoted their lives to encouraging whole body wellness, now known as Holistic Health. The Ancients recognized that health is a state of being sound or whole in body, mind, and spirit. The World Health Organization (WHO), the premier authority for health issues in the world, describes health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity,” thus confirming what Ancient Healers knew all along. You can only attain and radiate the high level of good health described by the WHO by developing and maintaining a healthy mind and spirit, in a healthy body. Development and maintenance of radiant health requires a high level of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

What is Radiant Health?.

Good health is a basic necessity for every human being. Though we are not immortal, it is God’s will for us to be healthy in body, mind, and spirit, and to be diseases-free when we are alive. Radiant health refers to optimal health and overall well-being, combined with physical, mental, and spiritual energy, vigor, vitality, and a magnetic personality in a healthy body. It is complete harmony of the mind, body, and spirit. Radiant health gives you the ability to handle stress, the capability to resist and overcome diseases, and protection against deadly and debilitating diseases and disorders, such as cancer, AIDS, high blood pressure, heart and kidney diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson Disease, and diabetes. The effective ways to develop, acquire, and maintain radiant health consist of developing good techniques and methods to cope with stress, eating good foods that include good cholesterol, high fiber, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. In addition, you have to keep moving; stand more and avoid sitting down most of the more and avoid sitting down most of the day. Learn to relax, pray and meditate daily. Get inspired, follow your intuition, and love more.

Stress Management

Although stress is a natural part of life, experiencing stressful situations and challenges continuously for a long period of time is harmful and detrimental to your health and general well-being. An acute stress that lasts for long periods of time becomes a chronic stress. Nothing good comes from chronic stress; it always triggers negative vibrations accompanied by negative thoughts, negative emotions, negative behaviors, and poor mental physical and spiritual health. While acute stress is crucial and necessary because it offers life-saving benefits, chronic stress is debilitating and can lead to ill-health, if not prevented or managed properly. It is now widely believed by many physicians and other healthcare professionals that majority of all doctor’s visits in this century results from stress-related health issues.

Medical experts now consider stress as the primary cause of several chronic diseases and disorders, including nervous breakdown, dementia, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, and heart failure. There is no medication for stress. You just have to cope with it. Stress management teaches you how to cope with chronic stress more effectively for your own benefit and the benefits of your loved ones and those around you. Since it is entirely impossible to get rid of stress completely, the goal of stress management is to develop effective mechanisms to deal with chronic stress because acute stress is good and healthy in several situations. Therefore, the primary goal of stress management is to identify the things, situations, events, and incidents that are problematic and stressful to each person. We all have different life experiences. As an individual you must identify and understand the conditions, environments, thoughts, words, and actions that add pressure, pose threats or challenge, or drain your energy. In addition you have to device strategies and methods to effectively cope with the stresses in your life and find ways and means to mitigate or overcome the negative emotions that chronic stress normally induce.

You must learn how to handle chronic stress because your health and general well-being would suffer greatly if you do not develop a coping mechanism for it. Sustained and persistent stress disconnects your body from your mind and spirit, makes you short-tempered, bitchy, overwhelmed, confused, fatigued, hopeless and helpless. It prevents you from listening to the small still voice within you, and before you realize it, you are already sick. I have good news. You can reduce stress and prevent these horrible diseases without going to the hospital and spend your hard-earned money just to take care of the signs and symptoms of the disease while leaving the causes intact. If you are living a very hectic life with no time to spare, it is time to re-consider your priorities and make some lifestyle changes to protect your health. To combat the effects of chronic stress, adopt a stress-reduction program and change the habits that frazzle you. The first step in dealing with chronic stress is to learn how to relax. Relaxation counters the effects of chronic stress on your health and general well-being.

Please learn to relax. Slow down and relax. Relaxation is a very good medicine for chronic stress. Relax, relax, and relax when stressed out. The practice can easily prevent or stop the development of many diseases and disorders associated with stress. Slow down and relax once in a while so that you can live a healthier, happier, richer, longer, and more peaceful life in harmony with your neighbors and with your Creator. Presently, we are so wired to think that living a speedy, fast-paced, easy life with all the luxuries of life available to us would enable us to be more productive, more prosperous, wealthier, and happier, but we are wrong. We are more focused, more in command of our life, and live a more fulfilling life when we feel relaxed.

Chronic Stress and Your Vibration

Chronic Stress alters the natural frequency of your vibration. It weakens your body's electromagnetism (aura), consequently leading to reduction of energy flowing into your organs, tissues, and cells. Stressful events in life, such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, loss of employment or failure in some life endeavors, alters the natural frequency of your vibration, blocks or disrupts energy flow in your body and makes you vulnerable to various disorders and diseases.

The frequency at which you constantly vibrate is the embodiment of your whole being. It determines how you think, what you think about, how you talk, what you talk about, what you do on a daily basis, and how you do what you do. Stressful life events can decrease the frequency of your vibration and change your thoughts and actions. For example, vile, bad, ignorant, evil, angry, wicked, jealous, envious, unhappy, unhealthy, depressed, and violent individuals vibrate at a lower frequency than loving, peaceful, good, enlightened, and happy individuals. When you raise your own vibration to a higher level, your body, mind, and spirit will begin to resonate at a higher frequency and you will begin to realize your connection with God or a Higher Power, the source of all knowledge, wisdom, and power. Raising your vibration has the benefit of supplying you with the inspiration, intuition, and extra-ordinary energy and power to accomplish things that were seemingly impossible. Thus, a higher vibration brings you closer to fulfilling your mission and goals in life.

How then do you raise your vibration to maintain a good health, improve your general well-being and accomplish your goals in life? There are several simple ways and means of raising your vibration without spending a lot of money. First and foremost develop a strategy for coping with stress which will always be in your life. Effective stress management will go a long way in raising the vibration of your being to its natural frequency. Tried and tested methods for dealing with stress include positive and creative thinking, constant prayer and meditation, purifying your body, mind, and spirit, practicing compassion in your daily life, loving God with all your heart, mind, and strength, loving your neighbors as you love yourself, reading inspirational books and journals, and listening to good and inspirational music.

Meditation and Insomnia (Sleeplessness)

Sleep is a natural period of rest for the body and mind, devoid of consciousness. A sleeping human being is still alive but not conscious of the world around him or her. What happens during sleep is not fully understood; however, all sensory activity seems to be relatively suspended during this period of rest and unconsciousness. Only the human spirit is fully active during sleep. The average human being spends one-third of life sleeping. Although it is essential for normal and optimal functioning of the human body, the phenomenon of sleep remains a miracle to all humankind, including scientists. Sleep restores and replenishes energy and power of the body and mind, promotes physical and mental health, emotional well-being, and longevity.

Sleeplessness otherwise known as insomnia, is commonly associated with mental and emotional stress, employment and financial problems, anxiety, depression, unsatisfactory sex life, and other relationship problems. Major illnesses, discomfort, or pain can also cause sleeplessness. Without adequate sleep, your judgment, mood, and ability to learn and retain information are impaired or weakened. Lack of sleep negatively affects your mood, judgment and behavior. The ability to learn, focus or study, process or retain information may also be affected weakened by lack of adequate sleep. Long-term sleep deprivation increases the risk for developing the so-called “metabolic syndrome” including excessive weight gain, obesity, and diabetes, diseases of the heart, infections, and even early death. Insufficient sleep can also affect tissue repair and hormonal balance, especially in children.

Insomnia can be prevented or treated pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Since sleeplessness is a secondary condition or symptom to another problem, the best strategy for preventing or managing sleeplessness is to prevent or treat the underlying cause of sleeplessness such as anxiety, worry, depression, fear, doubt, negative thoughts, and stress. The best strategy for preventing sleeplessness is to replace negative thoughts, with positive thoughts. Think about happy days you have enjoyed and lovely things that made you happy in the past. Replace doubt with hope and fear with confidence. Medications for sleeplessness to be taken at bedtime are now readily available; however, they are expensive and some may have serious adverse effects. Moreover, their potency may not be durable. Relaxation therapy, including meditation, is the most effective and durable therapy for sleeplessness. Meditation therapy can prevent sleeplessness and improve sleep by reducing stress, and by elevating the blood level of melatonin in the blood during the hours of darkness. Deep meditation before getting into bed at night reduces anxiety and worry and induces relaxation of the mind and body. You can easily fall asleep after such meditation.

Chronic Stress and Your Heart

Chronic stress is dangerous to your cardiovascular system, especially your heart. Stress hormones such as cortisol can increase your heart rate and constrict blood vessels, and make your heart and blood vessels more likely to overreact in the event of future stressful events. Heart failure can be triggered by chronic emotional stress even in subjects without prior cardiovascular disease. Stress has been identified by experts as a key risk factor for initiation and development of heart diseases. The persistent high blood pressure and increased heartbeat triggered by increased release of epinephrine during chronic stress increases the risk of arteriosclerosis and heart failure.

A recent Working Group convened in the USA by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, to discuss the consequences of chronic stress determined that long-term stress has harmful effects on human health. The Working Group comprising of experts in physiology, neuroendocrinology, behavioral stress, and heart and vascular biology concluded that chronic stress is associated with the development of high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, and stroke. However, the links between chronic stress and the development of cardiovascular diseases have not been conclusively established at this point in time. The working group recommended that further studies on the influence of chronic stress on eating behavior, energy metabolism and obesity should be encouraged.

Chronic stress also induces melancholy and feelings of sadness which burdens the heart immensely. A feeling of joy, happiness, and cheerfulness reduces the impact of stress on your heart. As wisely and eloquently stated by King Solomon in the Christian Bible, “A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones.” There is no better medicine in life than a cheerful heart. Learn to be cheerful, be contented with your life even if it is not as rosy as it should be. The attitude of cheerfulness will go a long way in preventing the health problems associated with stress and a heavy heart.

Electrical Supply from Your Heart

Your heart is the main supplier of electrical power to your body. To put it simply, your heart functions as electrical machine. In all human beings, a normal heart beat is initiated by a small pulse of electric current which originates from pacemaker cells located at the top of your heart. Pacemaker cells are specialized in producing electricity. Thus, the first electric wave produced in your body starts at the top of your heart and spreads downwards all over the heart. Also called the S-A node, the pacemaker establishes the normal frequency at which your heart beats, or your heart’s biorhythm. Overall, your natural pacemaker and specialized electrical conduction cells and tissues, including your heart rate are controlled by signals from your brain through your involuntary nervous system to your pacemaker cells. Your involuntary nervous system also controls many other functions of your body including breathing, blood pressure, and excretion. You can see now that your heart produces electricity in addition to its well-known function of pumping and distributing blood to all parts of your body. The heart’s electricity naturally has its own electromagnetic field and vibration frequency.

Recent advances in scientific research have led to the development of man-made pace makers to assist a failing heart. The technological pacemaker is surgically inserted in the chest by medical doctors to deliver steady and regular electric impulses to a defective heart. The device can help stabilize the electric conduction system when the natural pacemaker cells are not functioning properly. When there is power failure in your heart due to disease or malfunction, everything else in the body ceases to function, signal from the brain ceases, blood flow to organ tissues stops, every other system in your body shuts down, you loose consciousness and life ceases. You are dead! No amount of oxygen will restore your life unless your heart’s electricity is restored. That’s why the doctor checks the heart first before he or she pronounces a person dead.

The ability of the heart to function effectively is affected by chronic stress and several disorders The major disorder that affects the electrical property of the heart is called cardiac arrhythmia which may cause heart failure. Signs and symptoms of arrhythmias include palpitations, chest discomfort, and shortness of breath, dizziness, and fainting. It was calibrated by God to beat at a certain rate. Abnormalities in the electrical functions of your heart and its electrical potentials can be detected by electrocardiogram (EKG), a procedure that records electrical changes in the heart. In medical practice, clinicians utilize the EKG for detection and diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias, heart attacks, electrical conduction abnormalities, electrolyte disturbances, cardiac stress tests, and screening for various heart diseases.

Biomagnetism in Health and Disease

It is a basic law of physics that when an electric current flows through a conductor, a magnetic field is created in the surrounding space. The circulatory system is an excellent conductor of electricity because of its high salt content. As the circulatory system transports blood and nutrients to every cell and tissue the electricity that originates mainly from the heart flows everywhere in the body (Oschman 2000). The electricity that flows through the human system is always accompanied by a magnetic field. Thus, the human body produces electromagnetism that consists of the electric field and the magnetic field. Research on the electromagnetism of the human body is underway in medical and academic research centers around the world. One pioneer in this field .Dr. Harold Saxton Burr who obtained his Ph.D. degree at Yale in 1915 and became a full professor at Yale School of Medicine in 1929. Dr. Burr conducted a series of important studies on the role of electricity in development and disease.

The results of his research was published in many scientific journals of his day. He summarized his findings in a book entitled Blueprint for Immortality: The Electric Patterns of Life (Burr 1972), which was also published under the title The Field of Life. He postulated that energy fields are basic blueprints for all living things. These fields reflect physical and mental conditions’ and are therefore useful for diagnostic purposes. Dr. Burr was convinced that all living things are formed and controlled by energy fields that can be measured by standard detectors. A complete listing of Burr’s articles can be found in the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine (Burr 1957). Although his reasoning was sound, The concepts and methods articulated by Dr. Harold Saxton Burr was not accepted in clinical practice during his lifetime. However, a more recent study in Rome, which explored the biomagnetic fields produced near the heads of patients with epilepsy has confirmed Burr’s concepts. Tumors which caused epileptic seizures in these patients were not detected by electroencephalogram (EEG) or Computer-aided Tomography (CAT) scan, but were detected by biomagnetic recordings (Modena et al, 1982).

Magnetoencephalography is already being utilized to improve the accuracy of functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain mapping (Beisteirner et al, 1997). Furthermore, every event in the body, either physiological or pathological, has been shown to produce electrical changes as well as alterations of the magnetic fields (auras) in the spaces around the body (Brewitt 1996; 1999).

Your Heart

Basically, your heart is structured to function as a double pump, with both the right and the left heart having a structure to receive blood and a structure to pump out blood to all cells, tissues and organs of your body. The heart structures that receive the blood are called the atria while the structures that pump the blood are called ventricles. Blood leaves the heart in pulsed waves at a constant and natural frequency. The heart actively contracts to force blood out of its chambers and passively relaxes to allow the next quantity of blood to enter. Contraction of the two ventricles moves the blood out of the heart while relaxation of the two atria refills the heart with blood. This series of relaxation and contraction of the heart muscle, which pumps blood to all parts of the body, continues non-stop throughout your life time from birth till your last breathe. Cardiac muscles contracts and relaxes about 70 to 80 per minute without us ever having to be aware and think about it. What a miracle! Your heart beats are manifestations of your heart’s vibration energy frequency. Electrical Supply from the Heart Your heart is also the main supplier of electrical power to your body. To put it simply, your heart functions as electrical machine. In all human beings, a normal heart beat is initiated by a small pulse of electric current which originates from pacemaker cells located at the top of your heart. Prayer and Meditation

Pray and meditate each morning when you get out of bed because the way you start your day affects your emotional outlook for the day and largely determines how you would spend the rest of the day. So, take good care of what you do when you get out of bed in the morning. You are more likely to get frazzledand zapped as the day drags on if you begin the day hurrying and running around frantically at a breakneck speed. Do you realize that being jarred out of bed by an alarm clock can suddenly raise your heart beat, pulse rate, and blod pressure to an alarming state? Wake up peacefully and serenely without the aid of an alrm clock and start your day prayerfully with a sence of calm, devotion, and thanksgiving.

Prayer is a loving communication between you and God. It is healing to your mind, body, and spirit. Prayer can lift the heavy burden in your heart and reduce the impact of stress on your whole being. It is a transcendent method of communion with the Almighty, based on the realization and conviction that God is an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient loving Father who is always willing to listen to our petitions and meet our sincere needs. Praying enables you to communicate with God, seek and receive divine wisdom, inspiration, guidance, protection, and help daily. All effective prayer contains three vital elements: gratitude, confession, and intercession. Everyday in your life, beginning from the morning, you need to sincerely give thanks to God for a good night’s sleep, for the gift of a brand new day, and for having received so many blessings from Him, especially the blessing of good health. You should always endeavor to raise your hearts to God in gratitude and thanksgiving every morning and all day for being fortunate in so many ways, even when you are stressed out and can no longer realize or appreciate the true worth of what you have through God’s love, grace, and blessings. You also need to confess your sins of commission or omission such as an error of judgment, conduct, or action to God and plead for forgiveness. Furthermore, you need to ask God to intercede and help you whenever you have vital constructive desires or whenever you need a solution to a problem that is causing the stress in your life.

Health Benefits of Transcendental Meditation

Meditation is an effective practice for health and well-being. Thousands of years of practice have demonstrated a beneficial link between meditation and healing. The meditative practice is associated with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual responses important for health maintenance, disease prevention and general well-being. Scientific evidence has shown that Transcendental Meditation (TM) reduces stress, improves health and creates calmness, serenity, tranquility and inner peace. TM has proven to be an effective tool for stress management, energy restoration, spiritual development and maintenance of good health.

Western medical experts and physicians are now beginning to recognize the health benefits of meditation. Published research shows that TM can reduce high blood pressure, cholesterol levels, atherosclerosis, thickening of coronary arteries, and constriction of blood vessels. The technique can improve breathing for asthma sufferers, ease digestive problems, assist in the management of chronic pain, and improve sleep and immunity. Medical meditation is also effective in managing a wide range of mental and emotional disorders, including depression, anxiety, anger, compulsive behaviors, chronic stress, and various types of addictions.

By practicing TM daily, you can keep yourself healthy, prevent common infections, chronic diseases, or turn back the aging clock naturally without pharmaceutical drugs or surgery. You can also keep your skin healthy and young-looking with non-invasive Transcendental Meditation without taking drugs or going through the pains of plastic surgery. Yes, meditation is medicine! Transcendental Meditation is therapeutic! Appropriate practice of this ancient technique can reduce the use of sleeping pills, anti-depressive and anti-anxiety drugs, as well as the use of anti-hypertensive medications.

Scientific evidence shows that TM can prolong life by reducing mortality rates due to heart diseases. Because of this realization, there is now an increased use of various meditation practices in academic medical centers and hospitals for patients presenting with a range of diseases and disorders including pain-related disorders, stress and stress-associated disorders, and chronic diseases. Transcendental Meditation is a natural, effortless, and relaxation technique practiced 10-20 minutes twice daily while sitting comfortably in the privacy of your room. The technique is cheap, easy, and enjoyable to practice and requires no change in lifestyle.

Modern Theories of Disease

The “Germ Theory” of disease proposed years ago does not present a complete picture of factors governing health and harmony in the human body. Disease does not necessarily begin with the entrance of a germ, the contacting of bacteria or virus, or the development of infection or inflammation, but more often, it begins with a previous lowering of the normal standard of health resulting from the weakening of the electronic nature of the body. When the electronic nature of your body is weakened, any kind of disease may develop. However, nature provides defense systems and mechanisms for a healthy, normal body to resist the entry of viruses, bacteria and germs. When your physical and spiritual beings are healthy, properly attuned with the vibration of the Spirit of God, disease-causing germs or bacteria any kind entering the body would have difficulty in producing any disease. Unhealthy lifestyle combined with chronic stress often reduce the frequency of your natural vibration and prevents your body from fighting infections and diseases. Moreover, if the magnetic field around your body (aura) is weakened by your lifestyle, any kind of disease may develop. However, when our physical, mental, and spiritual beings are healthy, and the aura properly attuned to its natural frequency of vibrations, disease-causing germs or bacteria would hardly gain entry into the body. In addition, any kind of diseases-causing particle entering the body would have difficulty in producing any disease because the energy around and within the body would not allow it. When the vital powers within your body are functioning properly within the normal range of frequency, there is no need or necessity for medicines, herbal extracts or supplements, drugs, or any of the remedial compounds and mixtures that are limited strictly to the material composition of your body. Chronic stress, as well as your lifestyle, daily activities, and what you eat and drink affects your aura and the overall state of your health and general well-being.

Physiology of Chronic Stress

Chronic stress negatively impacts the physiology of your whole body The brain is the first target for stress. Prolonged stress can prevent the brain from adequately controlling the physiological and psychological coping responses to daily events and stressors in your life, makes you a nervous wreck, and impedes your ability to carry out your daily responsibilities effectively. Constant and continual reaction to stress for a long period of time overloads the brain with hormones and neurochemicals naturally intended for short-term activity during an emergency. The cumulative effect of chemical overload may be toxic to nerve cells in the brain which may lead to the damage and destruction nerve cells and ultimately resulting in the death of brain cells. In essence, chronic stress gradually kills brain cells. It is now widely accepted in medical and clinical circles that stress destabilizes the nervous system. Scientific studies have shown that chronic stress has a cumulative effect on your brain. First and foremost, chronic stress promotes the overload of brain chemicals It leads to chronic over-secretion of cortisol and powerful brain chemicals which are needed only in emergency situations for short-term activities. This chemical overload damages and kills your brain cells, impairs your memory, promotes forgetfulness, reduces your ability to remember and learn, hampers your thinking processes, and consequently promotes poor judgments and awful decisions. Repeated or prolonged exposure cortisol has a deleterious effect on the function of your brain and may likely contribute to the age-related decline in brain function. Overall, long-term stress can shred your nervous system, induce mental poisoning, and put your whole life in total confusion. The psychological ravages of chronic stress are also extensive. It depletes the body’s level of the “feel good” brain chemical called serotonin. Depletion of serotonin can make you moody, depressed, cloudy, irritable, and hypersensitive, and can prevent you from focusing or concentrating on the task at hand and issues of the day. During periods of chronic stress, you become overwhelmed with your normal chores and activities and everything in life becomes a big deal and you end up sweating over things that you normally regard as non-issues or small stuff. Constant and long-term emotional stress may manifest as chronic pain, headache, dizziness, depression, anxiety, fear, anger, and self-hate. Individuals who continually deal with chronic stress are very quick to lose their temper and are easily frustrated and overwhelmed by circumstances. Under stress, some people may spend a considerable amount of crying and complaining over the stressful event instead of taking a corrective action. Chronic stress can also cause a mental block and/or mental poisoning, which can impede your thought processes, hamper your thinking, and prevent you from making right decision or judgment.
