Ability to Maintain Erection is the Primary Key to Human Reproduction

In humans, the penis is the male sexual organ of copulation. The penis deposits semen into the vagina during sexual intercourse and carries urine through the urethra during urination. It consists primarily of erectile tissue that becomes engorged with blood during sexual excitement, resulting in an erection. The penis includes the shaft (tubular portion), glans (penis tip and sexual sensation area), and the prepuce, or foreskin (loose skin fold over glans). The prepuce is normally removed during circumcision. The ability to maintain erection of the penis is the primary key to human reproduction; without this ability by men, reproduction of the human species will cease. Erection enables sexual intercourse and begins with sensory and mental stimulation resulting in engorgement of the spiral helicine arteries and the plentiful venous sinuses of the organ. Erection of the penis to its firm stiffening state, which occurs during sexual arousal, depends on a complex interaction of psychological, nervous, vascular and endocrine factors. Autonomic dilation of the arteries supplying blood to the penis, which allows blood to fill the erectile tissue chambers of the penis, is the primary physiological mechanism underlying erection. The process causes the penis to lengthen and stiffen. Inability to have and maintain an erection firm enough for normal and satisfactory sexual performance is known as erectile dysfunction (ED) or impotence. Major causes of erectile dysfunction include diabetes and the aging process. ED is treatable at all ages. Treatments include psychotherapy, drug therapy, and surgery. The testes are located in the scrotum and hangs outside the male body. The cooler outside temperature is conducive to normal sperm production. The production of these male reproductive cells takes place in the coiled seminiferous tubules contained in each testis. Located between the seminiferous tubules are clusters of endocrine secretary cells called Leydig cells which produce androgens (male steroid hormones), mostly testosterone. Because they produce sperm and male sex hormones, particularly testosterone, the paired testes are components of both the reproductive system and the endocrine system. The sperm-forming and endocrine functions of the testes are controlled by gonadotropin hormones produced by the pituitary gland. The testicles are very sensitive to impact and injury. Prolonged sexual arousal can produce "blue balls" a slang term used to describe temporary fluid accumulation around the testes and the prostate. Major disorders of the testicles include testicular cancer, swelling of the testes, inflammation of the testes, otherwise known as orchitis; testicular torsion, also called spermatic cord torsion; inflammation of the epididymis, called epididymitis; varicocele (swollen vein from the testes, usually affecting the left testicle, and absence of one or both testes, known as anorchidism.

The Womb and Miracle of Fertilization

The uterus (womb) is connected to the vagina at the cervix, a pear-shaped organ with strong muscular walls, thick linings and a small opening. The cervix expands during childbirth to allow a baby to pass. The baby grows in the uterus when a woman is pregnant. The muscles of the uterus are believed to be the most resilient and one of the strongest muscles in the female body. These muscles have the ability to expand and contract to accommodate a developing and growing fetus and also to help push the baby out during labor. Fallopian tubes, also known as oviducts or uterine tubes, are two long, thin tubes that connect the uterus to the ovaries. Eggs from the ovaries are transported to the uterus via the fallopian tubes. Blockage of the fallopian tubes typically prevents the passage of the egg to the sperm, or fertilized egg to the uterus. A surgical procedure known as tubal ligation, which blocks the fallopian tube, prevents fertilization. The ovaries are magnificent glands which are part of the female reproductive system. The ovaries serve as endocrine organs as well as reproductive organs. They produce female sex hormones such as estrogen and progesterone. About the size and shape of an almond, the two ovaries are located just above the fallopian tubes, and are held in place on each side of the uterus by a membrane. During ovulation each month, one of the ovaries (either the right or the left ovary) produces a single mature egg for fertilization. The miracle of human fertilization (union of sperm and egg) occurs along the uterine tube. Diseases affecting the female reproductive system mostly occur either as a result of disorders involving the ovaries, uterus, fallopian tubes, and vagina, or organs such as the brain, hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, and adrenals, whose functions the affect reproductive organs. These disorders include altered menstruation, infertility, vulvovaginitis, pelvic pain, sexually transmitted diseases (STD), endometriosis, and cancers. Menstrual problems that typically occur during the reproductive years of females include painful periods, (dysmenorrheal), very heavy periods with excess bleeding (menorrhagia), infrequent periods (oligomenorrhea), or nonmenstrual vaginal bleeding. Common causes of female infertility include abnormalities of the uterus such as abnormal tissue growth on the lining of the uterus (endometriosis) and fibroids; ovarian dysfunctions such as premature ovarian failure and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which manifests as high levels of androgens (male hormones) missed or irregular periods which leads to lack of regular ovulation and the occurrence of small cysts in the ovary or sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

Female Reproductive System

The female reproductive system includes the vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. These organs enable women to have sexual intercourse, produce egg (ova), nourish and protect the developing fertilized egg, and give birth to a baby. In short, the female reproductive organs provide the necessary environment and nutrients for normal development, birth, nursing, health, and survival of the baby. Unlike the male reproductive organs, the female reproductive system is located mostly inside the body within the pelvis. The external part of the female organ, called the vulva, is located between the thighs. The vulva is hairy in adults and covers the opening to the vagina and other reproductive organs and tissues located inside the female body. The vagina is a hollow muscular tube about 3 to 5 inches (8 to 12 centimeters) long in grown women, which extends from the vaginal opening to the uterus. The opening to the vagina is surrounded by two pairs of skin flaps called the labia. Located at the front of the vulva where the folds of the labia join, is the small sensitive clitoris. The vagina can expand and contract because of its muscular walls. The vagina is designed by God to distend and envelop the male penis during sexual intercourse. It also serves as a receptacle for sperm; serves as the birth canal during childbirth; and provide the route for menstrual blood to leave the body from the uterus. Mucous membranes lining the muscular walls of the vagina keep this wonderful female organ moist and protect it from abrasion and injury during sexual intercourse and childbirth. Inside the vagina, located between the labia, is the opening to the urethra which carries urine out of the body. The pleasures derived by both males and females during sexual intercourse, as well as the miracle of childbirth depend mostly on the normal structure and function of the vagina.

Disorders of the Involuntary Nervous System

The involuntary nervous system is the regulatory component of the central nervous system. It helps all human beings, male and female, young and old to adapt to changes in both internal and external environments. In response to stress, the involuntary nervous system modifies and adjusts your vital body functions.Involuntary nervous system disorders can affect any part of your body. Since involuntary nerves go from the spinal cord to the heart, lungs, stomach, intestines, bladder, and sex organs, damage to the nerves connected to any of these organs may cause the affected organ to malfunction. Because involuntary nerves connect the central nervous system to the heart, damage to these nerves can adversely affect the heart's electrical activity and the heart's ability to contract, consequently making the heart to beat faster or at different speeds. The brain and spinal cord communicate with the blood vessels that keep the blood pressure constant and steady. Any malfunction of the blood vessels due to damage of the involuntary nerves may cause high blood pressure. The digestive system, including the stomach and the intestines, are connected to the central nervous system via involuntary nerves. Any malfunction or disorder of these nerves may affect digestion which may lead to indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, or nausea. The involuntary nervous system also supplies the nerves to the bladder. Disorders of any of these nerves can prevent you from knowing when to go to the bathroom, hold urine too long, or urinate accidentally. It may also cause bladder infections. Involuntary nerves connect the spinal cord to the bronchi of the lungs; damage to these nerves may prevent adequate airflow to the lungs. Furthermore, the involuntary nervous system supplies the nerves to the penis and the vagina. Disorders of these nerves in male can lead to erectile dysfunction and impotence and prevent a man from having sex. In females, any damage to involuntary nerves can decrease libido or prevent a woman from getting wet during foreplay and intercourse. Some involuntary diseases, particularly diabetes, can also cause involuntary disorders. Damage to the nervous system from diabetes may cause problems with having sex in both males and females. Other involunatry nervous system diseases associated with the aging process include Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and heart diseases, as well as medications used to treat the diseases.

The Involuntary Nervous System

The involuntary nervous system is the part of what is called the peripheral nervous system that acts as a control system to maintain the normal and harmonious function (homeostasis) of your entire body. Also known as the autonomic nervous system (ANS, the involuntary nervous system functions without voluntary or conscious control. Because the ANS supplies nerves to the cardiac muscle, smooth muscle, and several endocrine glands; it also influences the activity of most tissues and organ systems in all parts of your body. Thus, the ANS makes a significant contribution in maintaining the normal functioning of your whole body. The regulation of blood pressure, gastrointestinal(GI) responses to food, contraction of the urinary bladder, regulation of body temperature are some of many homeostatic functions regulated by the ANS. Thus the system controls heart rate, digestion, respiration rate, salivation, and perspiration, urination, and sexual arousal. The main components of the ANS include the sensory system and the motor system of the parasympathetic nervous system and sympathetic nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system is in charge of regulating most of the homeostatic mechanisms in your body. Best known for mediating the neuronal and hormonal stress response, commonly known as the ‘fight-or-flight’ response, the system supplies energy to every organ system in your body. The sympathetic nervous system promotes the "fight or flight" response, through acute energy generation and inhibition of digestion by diverting blood flow away from the gastro-intestinal (GI) tract and skin, by constricting the blood vessels, enhancing blood flow to the lungs and skeletal muscles, by facilitating greater alveolar oxygen exchange, and by dilating bronchioles of the lung, These activities provide the mechanism for enhanced blood flow to skeletal muscles by increasing the heart rate and the contractility of cardiac muscles, dilating the coronary blood vessels of the heart, and allowing more light to the eye by dilating and relaxing the lens of the eyes. The parasympathetic nervous system originates from the brain stem and the lower part of the spinal cord. In general, the parasympathetic nervous system opposes the physiological effects of the sympathetic nervous system. It promotes the "rest and digest" response, calms of the nerves, enables the body to return to regular function, and enhances digestion. The parasympathetic nervous system increases intestinal activity and stimulates digestive secretions, slows the heart rate, relaxes sphincter muscles, constrict the pupils, and dilate blood vessels. During unusual conditions of anxiety and/or fear, the parasympathetic system causes spontaneous responses such as urination, excessive secretion of gastric and salivary juices, including nausea or vomiting.

Other Parts of Your Brain (Diencephalon and Brain Stem)

Your diencephalon is located beneath the middle of your cerebrum and on top of your brain stem. It contains two very important structures: the hypothalamus and the thalamus. Your hypothalamus occupies a major portion of the ventral region of the diencephalon and directs several important body functions. Located below the thalamus, and just above the brain stem, the hypothalamus links the nervous system to the endocrine system via the pituitary gland. It plays a vital role in keeping conditions inside your body constant. It performs this function by regulating body temperature, thirst, hunger, and circadian cycles by modulating the release of hormones from the nearby pituitary gland. Your hypothalamus is also an important emotional center, controlling the molecules that make you feel exhilarated, angry, or unhappy. Your thalamus has multiple functions. It acts as a relay station for incoming sensory nerve impulses, sending them on to appropriate regions of the brain for processing. It is also responsible for alerting the brain about what's happening outside of your body. Your thalamus plays a major role in regulating arousal, the level of awareness and activity, as well as states of sleep and wakefulness. Damage or malfunction of your thalamus may lead to permanent coma or a prolonged period of unconsciousness. Your brain stem lies at the bottom of the brain, connecting the brain with spinal cord. It serves as a sensory and motor pathway to your body and face. The functions of your brainstem include breathing, digestion, heart rate, blood pressure and arousal. Parts of your brain known as the midbrain, pons, and medulla oblongata by biological scientist and neurologists belong to the brain stem. Your midbrain contains auditory and visual reflex centers and serves as the nerve pathway of the cerebral hemispheres. The medulla oblongata which functions primarily as a relay station between the spinal cord and the brain contains the respiratory, vasomotor and cardiac centers, as well as the mechanisms for controlling reflex activities such as coughing, vomiting, swallowing and gagging.

Causes of Diabetes

Diabetes is a chronic disease marked by high levels of blood sugar. There are two types of diabetes: Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 diabetes usually affects children and young adults, while Type 2 affects adults mostly and accounts for about 90 to 95 percent of all diagnosed cases. In addition to sugar overload, other factors associated with diabetes include insulin deficiency, genetics, age, ethnicity, diet, physical inactivity, obesity and pregnancy. Blood sugar overload due to deficiencies in insulin activity is the primary cause of diabetes. The beta-cells of the pancreas produce the hormone insulin in response to detected increases in blood glucose. The hormone controls how the human body uses sugar for energy. The disease prevents cells in the body from getting adequate energy to function properly. Insulin deficiency is usually due to inadequate production and secretion of the hormone by pancreatic beta cells, or resistance to the actions of insulin in the liver, muscles and fat. Diabetes is typically associated with family history. According to the American Diabetes Association, a person with a family history of diabetes is more likely to develop the condition than someone without a family history of the disease. Diabetes runs in families partly due to the effect of inherited genes and partly due to the tendency of children learning the bad habits of physical inactivity and poor diet from their parents. Diabetes hardly affects a person who has no diabetes in his immediate family or someone who constantly eats a healthy diet. It is now well-recognized that diabetes affects more African Americans, Hispanic/Latino Americans, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders and Asian-Americans, when compared with white Americans.

The Human Brain (Cerebrum and Cerebellum)

Basically, the human brain is an electrochemical organ powered by electromagnetic energy. It is composed of many parts, each of which has a specific function. The brain contains billions of neurons with various specialized functions. Although the brain works as a unit, it can be divided into four main parts for the sake of simplicity. These are the cerebrum, cerebellum, diencephalons, and brainstem. Also known as cerebral cortex, the cerebrum is associated with higher brain function such as thought and action. The cerebral cortex is the largest part of your brain. The cerebrum is responsible for all conscious experience, including perception, emotion and planning. It is the thinking, analytical, feeling, and creative part of the brain. The cerebrum detects and interprets visual images involved in hearing and storing memory, perceives and interprets sensations like touch, heat, cold, and pain, and also involved with speech, movements, thoughts, ideas, and emotions. Without the cerebrum, humans cannot reason, walk, dance, play games, study, or critically analyze issues and situations. The cerebrum is split into two halves called hemispheres. Located on either side of the head, each half communicate with each other. Scientists believe that the right half is involved with the processing of abstract and creative thoughts such as thinking about things like music, time, space, colors, and shapes. The left half is believed to be involved with analytical subjects like math, logic, and speech. Some scientists have suggested that the right hemisphere of the cerebrum controls the left side of the body, and the left hemisphere controls the right side, however, this concept is not known for sure to be true. The second largest part of your brain is the cerebellum. It is located underneath the cerebrum toward the back of the brain, connected to the brainstorm and relatively protected from trauma. The cerebellum is involved in the coordination of voluntary motor movement, balance and equilibrium, as well as muscle tone and posture. As humans, we easily move around, stand upright, and keep our balance because of the cerebellum. To accomplish its vital function, the cerebellum integrates and aligns sensory perception with motor control. Thus, the cerebellum can be considered as the guru of coordinated movement. Clinical observations suggest that mental activities also are coordinated in the cerebellum. Injury to the cerebellum results in slow and uncoordinated movement. Damage to the cerebellum can lead to loss of coordination of motor movement, movement tremors, inability to judge distance, inability to perform rapid alternating movements, staggering, tendency toward falling, weak muscles, slurred speech, and abnormal eye movements. Thus, individuals with cerebella injuries tend to sway and stagger when walking.

Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common malignancy in men and the second leading cause of male cancer-related death in the United States. Although the incidence of the disease increases with age, and depends greatly on race and location, family history remains a consistent and important risk factor in its development, suggesting that genetic predisposition and environmental factors are the major causes of the malignancy. However, changes in sex hormone levels, as a result of the aging process, is today regarded as the most likely etiological factor responsible for prostate cancer development. Despite recent progress made in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with prostate cancer, the malignancy remains incurable. Over the years, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) has been the standard treatment for prostate cancer patients; however, disease progression to androgen-independent state often develops. Moreover, other hormonal therapies and chemotherapeutic agents which provide palliative benefits to the patients are frequently associated with adverse effects that can impair quality of life. To prevent or cure prostate cancer, and improve the quality of life of patients, a better understanding of the etiology and pathophysiology of the disease is required.

Miracle of the Nervous System

The Nervous System is one of the most complex systems in the human body. The system monitors and controls all the activities and functions of every cell, tissue, and organ in your body. The realization of your existence and life on this earthly plane depends on the nervous system. It controls your personality, senses, thoughts, intelligence, memory and understanding, basic body functions, and how you relate with other human beings. According to Life Scientists and Medical Doctors, the nervous system is composed of the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord, while the PNS consists of a network of nerves that transverses all cells, tissues and organs of your body. The nervous system serves as the decision and communication center of your body; the brain serves as the control room, while the spinal cord functions like a super highway, instantly conveying messages to and from the brain. God in His wonderful design protects both the brain and the spinal cord with bones. The skull protects the brain and the vertebra protects the spinal cord. The basic functioning of the nervous system depends on nerve cells also called neurons. Bundled together in a network of thin threads, nerve cells carry messages back and forth just like telephone wires. All your senses and activities such as seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, thinking, remembering, memorizing, dreaming, breathing, heart beating, moving, running, sleeping, laughing, singing, feeling pain or pleasure, studying, or writing depend mainly on the nervous system.

Heart Failure and Pace-makers

Recent advances in scientific research have led to the development of man-made pace makers to assist a failing heart. The technological pacemaker is surgically inserted in the chest by surgeons to deliver steady and regular electric impulses to a defective heart. The device can help stabilize the electric conduction system when the natural pacemaker cells are not functioning properly. When there is power failure in your heart due to disease or malfunction, everything else in the body ceases to function, blood flow to organ, and tissues stops, every other system in your body shuts down, and life ceases. You are dead! No amount of oxygen will restore your life unless your heart’s electricity is restored. That’s why the doctor checks the heart first before he or she pronounces a person dead. The ability of your heart to function effectively is affected by several diseases. The major disorder that affects the electrical property of your heart is called cardiac arrhythmia which may cause heart failure. Signs and symptoms of arrhythmias include palpitations, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, dizziness, and fainting. Your heart was calibrated by God to beat at a certain rate. Abnormalities in the electrical functions of your heart and its electrical potentials can be detected by electrocardiogram (EKG), a procedure that records electrical changes in the heart. In medical practice, clinicians utilize the EKG for detection and diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias, heart attacks, electrical conduction abnormalities, electrolyte disturbances, cardiac stress tests, and screening for various heart diseases. Your heart waves are measured with the aid of an electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG). The electrocardiogram is a safe and non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of your heart over time. The device is used by doctors and nurses to check for problems with the electrical activity of your heart. The EKG measures your heart waves by recording your heart’s electrical activity into line tracings on paper. Your heart waves are represented by the spikes and dips in the line tracings. The paper tracings are then interpreted by trained cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and clinicians.

Miracle of the Human Heart

Basically, your heart is structured to function as a double pump, with both the right and the left heart having a structure to receive blood and a structure to pump out the blood. The structures that receive the blood are called the atria while the structures that pump the blood are called ventricles. Blood leaves your heart in pulsed waves at a constant and natural frequency. The heart actively contracts to force blood out of its chambers and passively relaxes to allow the next quantity of blood to enter. Contraction of the two ventricles moves the blood out of the heart while relaxation of the two atria refills the heart with blood. This series of relaxation and contraction of the heart muscle, which pumps blood to all parts of yur body, continues non-stop throughout your life time from the womb till your last breathe. Cardiac muscles contracts and relaxes about 70 to 80 per minute without you ever having to think about it. What a miracle! Your heart beats are manifestations of your heart’s vibration energy. Your heart is also the main supplier of electrical power to your body. To put it simply, your heart functions as an electrical machine. In all human beings, a normal heart beat is initiated by a small pulse of electric current which originates from pacemaker cells located at the top of your heart. Pacemaker cells are specialized in producing electricity. Thus, the first electric wave produced in your heart starts at the top of your heart and spreads downwards all over your heart. Also called the S-A node, the pacemaker establishes the normal frequency at which your heart beats, or your heart’s biorhythm. Overall, your natural pacemaker and specialized electrical conduction cells and tissues, including your heart rate are controlled by signals from your brain through your involuntary nervous system to your pacemaker cells. Your involuntary nervous system also controls many other functions of your body including breathing, blood pressure, and excretion. You can see now that your heart produces electricity in addition to its well-known function of pumping and distributing blood to all parts of your body. The heart’s electricity naturally has its own electromagnetic field and vibration frequency.

Meditation Is A Spiritual Fitness Program

Meditation is a spiritual fitness program. In addition to its physiological and psychological benefits, meditation has spiritual benefits also. The meditative technique can be described as prayer in the Spirit or communion with God in the Spirit. For centuries, meditation has traditionally been seen as a tool for spiritual realization and fulfillment. Since the dawn of history, the practice of meditation has been associated with the attainment of higher spiritual states. Regardless of the hustle and bustle of modern living, practitioners of meditation still find the practice helpful to their spiritual development. Meditation is a technique for human beings to commune with the Deity; it is an inner dialogue with God and serves as a pathway to the comprehension of inner mysteries. The practice facilitates spiritual communion with God; blending the human mind with the mind of Almighty God. Whereas the physiological and psychological benefits of meditation have so far been the main focus of the Western World, exploration of the spiritual aspects of meditation has been facilitated by modern scientific tools, novel technologies, and a better scientific understanding of the human brain. Recent progress in brain research has provided a clear evidence of the spiritual dimension of meditation. It is now known that the desires, values, outlook, and goals of people who meditate tend to shift from material things towards selfless things, personal growth, and spiritual fulfillment. Regular deep meditation makes you aware of the Spirit of God residing within you. It deepens your religious and spiritual experience and commitment, enhances and enriches your understanding of the Higher Power within you. A conscious contact with the God you believe in empowers your prayers. (Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10). You cannot sense God until you have stilled the outer earthly consciousness of materialistic comprehension and allowed your subliminal self to rise to the heights necessary for communion with the Consciousness of God. Meditation elevates the higher capacities of your mind and consciousness, and increases your perception, awareness, insight, and compassion. Jesus of Nazareth learned and knew how to commune with the Father for harmony, health, inspiration, guidance, knowledge, wisdom, and power.

Meditation and Aging

Meditation is an anti-aging medicine. It is a true and tested anti-aging technique now known to reduce the biological age of those who practice it regularly. This ancient practice slows down the natural aging process of all cells, tissues, and organs of your body, prevents diseases, heals several illnesses and disorders, and prolongs your life. Meditation has proven to be effective as an anti-aging medicine as demonstrated by evidence from recent scientific studies. All human beings, males and females can turn back the aging clock; remain young and beautiful without taking drugs and hormones or indulging in cosmetic surgery. Studies on the physiology of aging have shown that the functions of the nervous, endocrine, cardiopulmonary, and musculoskeletal systems decline and undergo wear and tear as we grow older. According to scientists, the main reason many body functions deteriorate as we get older is due to decrease in the production and secretion of vital hormones by the endocrine system. For instance, the production of growth hormone, which keeps the body energetic, sustains youthful vigor and repair muscle tissues begins to decline around the age of 30. Moreover, there is also a decline in the production and secretion of the sleep hormone, melatonin, as we age due to deterioration of the pineal gland. Sleep disorders that occurs in the aging population is mostly due to decrease in blood level of melatonin.

Beautiful Radiant Skin

The human skin is made up of layers that are constantly being renewed. According to biological scientists and dermatologists, the skin is being regenerated at all times. About two to three billions of skin cells are shed and renewed daily. The way and manner by which skin regeneration and renewal occur is a miracle that is not yet fully understood by humankind. God in His mercy and wisdom designed the human skin to perform very critical functions. These include protection, sensation, heat regulation/insulation, excretion, storage and synthesis of life sustaining materials, and regulation of water and gases. The skin serves as the first line of defense in the human body. It covers and protects all other organs of the human body including the muscles and bones. The skin also contains nerve endings that react to touch, pressure, tissue injury, pains, vibrations, and temperature. Blood supply to the skin enables it to control heat loss by radiation, conduction, and convention, and thus maintain constant body temperature under all weather conditions. When the temperature is high, excretion through the skin by sweating followed by evaporation is a part of the temperature regulation function of the skin. In addition, the skin produces vitamin D and acts as a storage center for essential substances including water, and minerals. Underneath the skin is a layer of fat which helps to insulate the body against bangs, bumps, as well as the wear and tear of daily living, from the cradle to the grave. Maintaining the proper balance of important minerals and water within the body, otherwise known as osmoregulation, is another very critical function performed by the human skin. The skin also absorbs vital substances into the body and at the same time keeps out pathogens. To bloom and glow with an attracive personality, the development of a beautiful skin is required. A smooth and glowing skin is a good indicator of good health. However, the skin is not healthy all the time. Most skin disorders are due to bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, as well as too much exposure to sunlight. Commonly occurring skin disorders include skin irritations, bumps, rashes, blisters, eczema, bruises, oily or dry skin, and skin cancer. To avoid many of the problems encountered by the skin, simple precautionary measures should be taken. For example, exposing the skin too many times each day to soap and bath products is not advisable because the skin may react adversely to some of the chemicals used in manufacturing some of the soaps currently in the markets. Additionally, some lotions and perfumes regularly used on the skin may cause irritation and thereby produce rashes, bumps, and itches. Therefore, minimal use of beauty products and cosmetics is a prudent and good way to avoid unnecessary irritation, to the skin. Moreover, overexposure to direct sunlight can seriously affect the human skin and cause cancer. As such, proper protection from ultraviolet radiation from the sun must be taken when outdoors. To avoid and/or prevent most skin disorders, you must learn, develop, and practice strategies and methods to clean, treat, and protect your skin every day.

Meditation is Food for Your Soul

Meditation nourishes your soul as food nourishes your body. The meditative experience fosters and enhances self-awareness, self-understanding, and self-realization. Through introspection and deep relaxation, meditation contributes to a better understanding, awareness, and communication with your soul and with God. When the mind is turned inwardly, you become supersensitive to the impressions and vibrations coming from God. The act of meditation also establishes purity of heart and enables the practitioners to dewll with the Lord, experience His true essence, and commune with Him in pureness and worthiness. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8). Meditation makes it possible for human beings to approach God and dwell in Him with a pure and reverent heart. Long-term practice of meditation fosters compassion, love, happiness, joy, and forgiveness. The practice enables you to be a superconscious being, full of love, knowledge, wisdom, and power. A human being beyond the feelings of selfishness, greed, vanity, jealousy, anger, hatred, and other vices of a kindred nature. A superconciousness that embraces a continual sensation of unconditional love, conjoined with spiritual power, knowledge and wisdom, are the final products of daily meditative experience. Any man or woman who acquires these Godly qualities through meditation can manifest perpetual health, perpetual youth, perpetual vigor and vitality, and can bring his/her spiritual knowledge and power to bear on the atoms and molecules of his/her physical body and prevent ailments and reduce the rate of aging. To know God, we must first know our inner selves because the inner self of all human beings is an extension of God's Spirit. The deep relaxation associated with meditation enables your consciousness to be elevated to a higher level in a mind that is fully awake and relaxed in a well-rested and relaxed body, resulting in union of your mind with the mind of God. Meditation also enhances your realization of God’s love for you and His divine qualities and power that vitalizes your whole being. This realization gives you the strength, energy, and inspiration to love God with all your hearts, which leads you to a point of absolute convergence with all human beings, all nature, and God Himself. Thus, persistent deep meditation keeps you constantly in communion with God and readily inspired to serve the Lord and humanity, as Jesus Christ did.

Spiritual Benefits of Meditation

Since the dawn of history, the practice of meditation has been associated with the attainment of higher spiritual states. Regardless of the hustle and bustle of modern living, practitioners of meditation still find the practice helpful to their spiritual health and development. Meditation enables all human beings to commune with the Deity; it is an inner dialogue with God and serves as a pathway to the comprehension of inner mysteries. The practice facilitates spiritual communion with God; blending the human mind with the mind of God Almighty. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth” (John 4:25). Meditation is the best way to worship God in spirit and truth. Whereas the physiological and psychological benefits of meditation had so far been the main focus of the Western World, exploration of the spiritual aspects of meditation has been just begun. Recent progress in brain research has provided a clear evidence of the spiritual dimension of meditation. It is now known that the desires, values, outlook, and goals of people who meditate tend to shift from material things towards selfless things, personal growth, and spiritual fulfillment. Regular deep meditation makes you more conscious of the fact that the Spirit of God resides in you and within you. Meditation fortifies your religious and spiritual experience and commitment, enhances and enriches your understanding of the Higher Power within you. A conscious contact with the God you believe in gives more power to your prayers. “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). You cannot feel the presence of God until you have stilled the outer earthly consciousness of your materialistic self and allow the subliminal spiritual self to rise to the heights necessary for communion with the Consciousness of God. Meditation elevates the higher capacities of your mind and consciousness, and increases your perception and awareness of God’s presence within and around you. Jesus of Nazareth learned and knew how to commune with the Father for harmony, health, inspiration, guidance, knowledge, wisdom, and healing power.

Medical Meditation and Sleeplessness

Sleep is a natural period of rest for the body and mind, devoid of consciousness. A sleeping human being is still alive but not conscious of the world around him or her. What happens during sleep is not fully understood; however, all sensory activity seems to be relatively suspended during this period of rest and unconsciousness. Only the human spirit is fully active during sleep. The average human being spends one-third of life sleeping. Although it is essential for normal and optimal functioning of the human body, the phenomenon of sleep remains a miracle to all humankind, including scientists, and medical doctors. Sleep restores and replenishes energy and power to the body and mind, promotes physical and mental health, emotional well-being, and longevity. Sleeplessness is commonly associated with mental and emotional stress, employment and financial problems, anxiety, depression, unsatisfactory sex life, and other relationship problems. Major illnesses, discomfort, or pain can also cause sleeplessness. Without adequate sleep, your judgment, mood, and ability to learn and retain information are impaired or weakened. Lack of sleep negatively affects your mood, judgment and behavior. The ability to learn, focus or study, process or retain information may also be affected and weakened by lack of adequate sleep. Long-term sleep deprivation increases the risk for developing the so-called “metabolic syndrome” including excessive weight gain, obesity, and diabetes, diseases of the heart, infections, and even early death. Insufficient sleep can also affect tissue repair and hormonal inbalance, especially in children. Sleeplessness can be prevented or treated pharmacologically or non-pharmacologically. Since sleeplessness is a secondary condition or symptom to another problem, the best strategy for preventing or managing sleeplessness is to prevent or treat its underlying cause, such as anxiety, worry, depression, fear, doubt, negative thoughts, and stress. Thus, the best strategy for preventing sleeplessness is to replace negative thoughts, with positive thoughts. Think about happy days you have enjoyed and lovely things that made you happy in the past. Replace doubt with hope, and fear with confidence. Medications for sleeplessness to be taken at bedtime are now readily available; however, they are expensive and some may have serious adverse effects. Relaxation therapy, including meditation, is the most effective and durable therapy for sleeplessness. Medical meditation prevents sleeplessness and improves sleep patterns by reducing stress, and by elevating the blood level of melatonin in your blood during the hours of darkness. Deep meditation before getting into bed at night reduces anxiety and worry and induces relaxation of the mind and body. You can easily fall asleep after such meditations.

Medical Meditation and Anxiety

Anxiety is a negative metal state characterized by nervousness and constant state of worry, fear, apprehension, and anticipation of misfortune. Generally, normal individuals often experience anxiety before confronting something challenging, such as speaking before a large audience, taking a test or examination, or having a job interview; however, anxiety becomes a problem when it interferes with your ability to constantly fail to sleep, or underperform in everyday normal tasks due to fear or worry. A chronic or excessive feeling of anxiety and worry, or uncontrollable apprehension about normal life events with no obvious reasons for worry is called Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Individuals suffering from GAD often think negatively and are constantly afraid or worried about something such as money, health, relationship, family, school, or work. Such people feel irritable, sleepless, and fatigued most of the time without reason. Because of their negative thoughts and feelings, they end up bringing disaster and failure to their lives. Jesus Christ specifically warned His followers not to be anxious for anything because the Almighty God already knows their needs and can supply them abundantly. Meditation is a good therapy for anxiety. Those individuals in our midst who are struggling with anxiety or GAD can benefit immensely from the calming effects of medical meditation. Combined with deep breaths, daily practice of meditation is therapeutic for anxiety. It improves your spiritual well-being, gives you more energy, and instills more strength, courage, and confidence into your hearts and mind. Meditation changes the underlying pattern of reactive negative thinking that created the anxiety in the first place. Thus, this ancient practice which has been neglected by the Western World is a wonderful and effective method for healing anxiety. Freedom from anxiety through meditation enhances our optimism in life. Please meditate if you are a victim of anxiety or GAD and experience the healing effect of medical meditation. Daily practice of medical meditation is better and superior to daily intake of medications.

Medical Meditation and Depression

Depression is one of the negative mental states experienced by human beings. The characteristics of depression include feelings of loneliness, boredom, hopelessness, helplessness, melancholy, anxiety, isolation, and decreased self-esteem. Depressed individuals are often overwhelmed by sadness and may lose interest or pleasure in daily activities previously enjoyable to them. They may experience mental or physical fatigue, memory loss, and may have trouble concentrating. Some may even entertain suicidal thoughts because depressed feelings usually begin with the mind, thought processes, and stress. Depression can rob you of energy and power, and can keep you bed-ridden. While depression depletes your strength and willpower, medical meditation restores both. Generally, depression is more common among women than men. Depression in women are often affected by female reproductive hormones combined with the stress and pressures exerted by society at large, as well as the inability of some women to cope with relationship issues. Signs and symptoms of depression in women include extreme sadness, hopelessness that never seems to end, inability to perform daily chores, and feelings of low self-worth, no matter how educated or successful they are in life. A depressed woman may feel worthless, low in spirit, tired of life, and apathetic, accompanied by loss of appetite and loss of interest in activities of daily living. These feelings may give rise to overeating and excessive weight gain, obesity, unexplained aches and pains, and abnormal sleeping patterns. Severe depression in women may lead to feelings of suicide or death. Such women need immediate therapy from a qualified doctor or clinical pschologist. Meditation therapy is very helpful in preventing thoughts that lead to a depressive state of mind. Daily medical meditation provides freedom from negative thoughts, instills confidence, improves your relationships with fellow human beings, helps you manage and deal with stress more effectively, and enables you to live a happier and more stable life. It has been demonstrated that individuals who meditate for as little as 10 minutes per session manifested an increase in relaxed brain waves better known as alpha brain waves, decreased depression, and increased energy and power. Daily practice of Medical meditation is a good strategy for preventing and managing depression.

Psychological Benefits of Meditation

Regular practice of meditation has beneficial psychological effects. Meditation fosters a positive attitude and promotes mental and emotional well-being. It is an effective technique that helps transform human beings to a higher state of psychological and mental health. Through the practice of meditation, a person can transcend individual consciousness and experience true mental, emotional, and psychological well-being. Several studies have shown that meditation produces inner calm and tranquility. Consistent and long-term practice of meditation establishes mental equilibrium, promotes courage, self-esteem, self-control, self-actualization, self-confidence, enhanced sense of general well-being, and increased mental concentration, mental focus, and mental strength. Using the tools of modern science to explore the effect of meditation on the mind and human health, a number of scientists have demonstrated that meditation improves creativity, learning, and brain activity by increasing the coherence of brain wave patterns. Meditation also improves memory, increases emotional stability, prevents and/or decreases irritability, moodiness, depression, and anxiety, and promotes the feeling of contentment, joy, and happiness. The meditative experience is also associated with a pronounced feeling of profound peace, accompanied by a sense of harmony between self and the external world, joy and happiness, love of life, and greater vitality. Thus, meditation is an effective relaxation method with beneficial effects on the mind and emotions. Regular meditation alleviates depression, anxiety, and fatigue and instills confidence, vitality, vigor and energy, Reliable evidence supports the effectiveness of meditation in substance abuse and eating disorders as well. Other psychological manifestations of meditation include enhanced sympathy and empathy, and decreased anger and fear. Furthermore, meditation is effective for preventing and managing many psychological problems because the practice reduces our attachment to the self-important ego which becomes null and void during meditation.

Meditation and the Mind

The human mind is limitless in potentials. Your mind is the most powerful, the most creative, and the most wonderful tool available to you for the good of humanity. With a powerful and healthy mind, you will radiate love, peace, and harmony to everyone you come across daily and to the world at large. Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, used the power of His mind heal and perform wonderful deeds. You can do likewise even it is at a lesser degree. Using the power of the mind, human beings have been able to investigate the cellular, molecular, and atomic components all things created by God, search the deepest oceans and high heavens, send humans to the moon but have not deciphered the true nature of the thinking mind. We are now more educated than ever and more civilized than our ancestors, yet we are not civil towards each other. We still behave violently like unthinking vulgars, treat one another without mercy, and kill one another without regard to the dignity of human life. What a shame? Deep meditation refines your mind and allows you to transcend the thinking processes and objective consciousness of the five senses, leading you into a state of thoughtless awareness. Your mind can be kept constantly attuned with the Divine Mind through meditation. When your mind is turned inwardly, you become supersensitive to the impressions and vibrations emanating directly from God. Creative ideas from a Super Mind created the world and all things in it, both animate and inanimate. Ideas received from God by the human mind have improved the life and well-beings of all inhabitants on this earth. Meditation offers you the opportunity to receive God’s inspiration, sharpen your mind, and helps you to generate creative ideas. Meditate and let ideas flow from the Universal Mind to your objective human mind. Attaining peace of mind is another great benefit of meditation. Lifestyle evidence has shown that long term practitioners of meditation lead a more peaceful, tranquil, and balanced life due to less worry, and less anxiety and increased stress tolerance. As you can see, meditation has incredible psychological benefits. Instead of generating fear, envy, jealousy, hatred, doubt, illness, and failure, meditation increases mental clarity and focus, resolves emotional problems including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, fear, and anger, creates joy, happiness, and harmony, and creases inner peace and stability.

Meditation and Human Growth Hormone (HGH)

Human growth hormone is a youth and longevity hormone produced by the pituitary gland inside the brain. Optimal level of HGH affects the body magnificently. Adequate supply of HGH promotes tissue growth and repair, restores energy and vitality, produces strong bones, young skin, and a lean body with low fat, helps reduce body weight, and builds a healthy body. Children have so much energy because of the large amount of HGH released by their pituitary glands. HGH is very essential for the growth of children and adolescents. Adults need the hormone for healthy metabolism, healthy skin, for maintaining a good ratio of lean tissue to body fat, tissue building, bone mineral density, and for optimal bone mineral density. Unfortunately the aging process prevents the gland from producing enough of HGH as we get older. Therefore, the amount of HGH in the human body declines with age. Defects and suboptimal functions of the pituitary gland may also lead to insufficient production and secretion of HGH, consequently resulting in tissue breakdown which may lead to increasing body fat, decreasing muscle mass, and increasing levels of bad cholesterol (LDL). Over the years, it has been almost impossible to replenish the low level of human growth hormone in the aging body. Thanks to recent advances in science and technology, today synthetic HGH and herbal supplements are now available to replace or supplement for lost HGH. Because it restores stamina, skin beauty, youthful vigor, and energy, celebrities pay large sums of money for synthetic HGH injections. Meditation is the best way to naturally slow down the rate of growth hormone decline in the human body and restore optimal level of HGH. Meditating constantly and deeply dramatically increases the production and release of HGH by the brain because the slower alpha and theta brain waves induced by deep sleep or meditation trigger the production and release of HGH in the blood. Therefore, it advisable to meditate daily in order to bloom and glow with radiant health, attractive and magnetic personality, vitality, and youthful vigor.

Slow Brainwave Frequencies

Slow brainwaves (alpha (11.9 hz-8 hz), theta (7.9 hz-4 hz) and delta (3.9 hz-.01 hz) integrate the function of the whole brain resulting in peak performance, general improvement in wellness and well-being, improved memory, enhanced intuition and creativity, and superb learning and intellectual performance. Thus, alpha, theta, and delta waves are the most beneficial brainwave frequencies experienced by your brain. Meditation slows down our brainwaves. Daily practice of meditation changes the brainwave frequencies of the brain and enables the mind and body to function at optimal levels. Alpha brainwave frequency produces a relaxed state of body, mind, and spirit. It usually occurs during focused meditation (concentration), and relaxation. It becomes prominent at the beginning of higher levels of consciousness when the meditator is thoroughly relaxed with eyes closed. This type of wave frequency integrates whole brain functions and activities, induces calmness and peace of mind, produces a higher level of awareness and resourcefulness, and enhances creativity. Alpha frequency also induces a peaceful and harmonious state of mind, a powerful state of memory accompanied by super-learning, and effortless flow of creativity. It enables all individuals to replace destructive habits, fears, worries, and irritability with constructive habits, courage, confidence, and tranquility. Alpha is the dominant brain wave activity when body and mind are relaxed and in harmony with the spirit. Closing the eyes for a minute increases the manifestation of alpha brain wave activity. However, the beta brain wave takes over and becomes dominant on opening the eye. Alpha brain wave activity commonly manifests among sages and highly creative individuals with clear and relaxed minds. Theta brain wave frequency which occurs mostly at the threshold of the subconscious state, during sleep, dreams, or altered states of consciousness, integrates and unifies whole brain activity, induces creative imagination and inspiration, and promotes super memory, super learning, and supernatural brain power. Theta wave is associated with deeper relaxation, enhanced state of creativity, and sleep-dream activity. It accompanies a spiritual experience, a highly-creative state, or a high level of spiritual consciousness. Deeper levels of both physical and mental relaxation, as experienced during concentration, contemplation and meditation facilitates theta brain wave activity. In general, children tend have higher amount of theta waves than adults, as such; children are not always as stressed out as adults. No wonder Jesus told His followers in the Gospel of Mathew that “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of God” (Matthew 18: 1). The simplest and best way to be like little children and enter the kingdom of God is to meditate and let alpha waves dominate the adult brain. Delta brain wave frequency is the slowest of all human brainwaves. It induces deep sleep, decreases overall body metabolism, including decreased respiration, decreased blood pressure, and decreased body temperature. It also releases the youth hormone commonly called human growth hormone because it is associated with youthful vigor, vitality and radiant health. Delta wave induces the most deeply relaxing state of mind and body coupled with non-physical awareness. Usually associated with the unconscious mind, delta wave provides access to spiritual consciousness, induces a decreased sense of physical and mental awareness, increased empathy, and harmony of self with God and other beings. Delta brain wave frequency manifests mostly in super achievers, in individuals like Jesus of Nazareth, with higher levels of spiritual consciousness, deep intuition, and supernatural healing powers. Only avid meditators, highly spiritual individuals, monks, and yogis are privileged to access this brainwave range. Jesus Christ was among the blessed individuals who were able experience delta brainwave activity. By meditating daily with a clear mind, Jesus was able to gain access to all levels of brainwave frequency which assisted Him to keep His brain, mind, and body working at optimal levels.

Fast Brain Wave Frequencies

Wave frequencies of the brain are comprised of five ranges. These are: gamma (38 hz-100 hz), beta (12 hz-38 hz), alpha (11.9 hz-8 hz), theta (7.9 hz-4 hz) and delta (3.9 hz-.01 hz). Thanks to advances in technology because until the advent of digital electroencephalogram (EEG), brain waves higher than 25 Hz could not be measured with analog (EEG). Gamma brain wave is associated with consciousness and perception. It acts like a glue of the mind, holding together and connecting all human senses, cognition and thought processes together in harmony. Considered as the brain’s optimal frequency of functioning, gamma brainwave is linked to optimal brain functioning, great memory, increased levels of compassion, natural feelings of happiness, and increased perception of reality. In a nutshell, gamma brainwave frequency unifies, harmonizes, and integrates thoughts and perceptions processed in different parts of the brain, promotes self awareness and deep insight. Mentally retarded individuals and those with impaired mental functioning tend to have less gamma brainwave activity. Higher brain wave activity functions like a natural anti-depressant by boosting human mood, compassion, and empathy. Beta wave frequency occurs when you are fully awake and alert. It is mainly involved with concentrated thoughts, analytical, focused mental processing and peak intellectual performance. Often associated with waking consciousness, beta waves are linked to busy schedule, working under pressure, anxious thinking and active concentration. The beneficial effects of increased beta wave activity include peak mental performance, positive thoughts and positive actions, more energy for daily activities, ability to think quickly, feelings of excitement, and high level of mental focus. On the other hand, excessive brain wave activity is associated with worry, anxiety, stress, irritability, fear, paranoia, irritability, anger, depression, nervousness, weakened immune system, and poor health. As humans, we spend most our time in the beta state of consciousness. Higher levels of beta frequency usually accompany higher levels of stress.

Meditation and Brainwave

The brain functions just like a transmitter and receiver with certain frequencies. Brainwave frequency is the electricity that empowers the brain to function non-stop just like the heart’s electricity enables the heart to beat non-stop. However, brain waves are much more than a source of power supply to the brain; they directly affect your state of mind positively or negatively. The chemical activity of your brain and brainwave frequency automatically change whenever a new stimulus is received or transmitted by the brain. Yur brain wave frequency is closely related to your thoughts, emotions, moods, body chemistry and state of consciousness. Changes in your moods and states of consciousness have been proven to correlate with changes in your brainwave frequency. For example, the brainwave frequency of a happy person is quite different from that of a sad person. Moreover, the brain waves of a sick individual differ from the brainwave of a healthy individual. Because changes in brainwave activities are accompanied by changes in your state of mind, they can be modified for improved mental and emotional health. Your brainwave frequency affects everything you are and everything you aspire to be. Deep meditation can change the frequency of your brain waves. Changes in brainwave frequencies are always accompanied by changes in our state of consciousness. There is a direct correlation between your states of mind and specific brainwave frequencies. Medical meditation normalizes the brainwave frequency and the state of your mind. Evidence from scientific research has shown that different brainwave frequencies affect your state of mind differently. Thus, the brainwave frequencies that correlate specifically with certain states of human consciousness has mental health implications. A scientific and thorough understanding of this concept can enable you to change your brainwave patterns at will and consequently change the state of your minds and emotions. Meditation has been proven to produce changes in our brainwave frequencies and states of consciousness. Wave frequencies of the brain are comprised of five ranges. These are: gamma (38 hz-100 hz), beta (12 hz-38 hz), alpha (11.9 hz-8 hz), theta (7.9 hz-4 hz) and delta (3.9 hz-.01 hz). Meditation slows down your brainwaves. Slower brainwaves integrate the function of your whole brain resulting in peak performance, general improvement in wellness and well-being, improved memory, enhanced intuition and creativity, superb learning and intellectual performance. Alpha, theta, and delta waves are the most beneficial brainwave frequencies. What is Radiant Health?

Radiant health refers to the harmonious blending of the threefold nature of all human beings; the physical, mental, and spiritual. As a conscious being, you are constantly aware of your physical body, as such, the health of your physical body should be given first consideration, or otherwise it will break down. It is your personal obligation and duty to take good care of your body everyday in order to prevent diseases and maintain good health. Sensible diet and reasonable exercise will establish a physical condition which is uplifting and deeply satisfying. Harmony of the mind, often called peace of mind, is a deep desire for each of us, including you. Your outlook on life, your emotional responses to daily life experiences, both the good and the bad, your ethical and moral principles, and your understanding of yourself and other people contribute to your degree of personal happiness and joy. Harmony of the mind depends upon the relationship you have to society. If you are at peace with your environment and have established a good relationship with the people in your community and the world at large, you will experience a degree of mental harmony because you will feel that you are fulfilling some useful purposes in life. Once you develop self-confidence and feel you are contributing to society either in your vocation or through your personal endeavors, you will have a sense of worthiness and well-being. If you are well liked by friends and associates and you are willing at times to make a personal sacrifice on their behalf, you will have some sense of satisfaction in the life that you are living. The more you are able to express yourselves in the arts, science, music, or other constructive ways, the greater will be your contribution to society, and the greater will be your satisfaction in the giving of yourself. Those in society who have little regard for the welfare or feelings of others cannot experience inner harmony, true happiness, or peace of mind. The highest harmony is realized in your relationship to God or a Higher Power. When you reach a point in life when you attain spiritual awakening, you will begin to love your neighbors as you love yourself, stop hating your enemies, and avoid harboring malice against fellow human beings, you will experience a flow of vibratory energy through your whole being which will consequently result in perfect spiritual harmony. This beautiful experience produces harmony with all your senses, bringing not only a spiritual harmony, but also harmony of the mind and body. You will then bloom and glow with radiant health.

Chronic Stress and Your Vibration

Stress alters the natural frequency of your vibration and weakens your aura consequently leading to reduction the amount of energy flowing into organs, tissues, and cells in your body. Stressful events in life, such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, loss of employment or failure in some life endeavors, alters the natural frequency of your vibration, blocks or disrupts energy flow in your body, and makes you vulnerable to various disorders and diseases. The frequency at which you constantly vibrate is the embodiment of your whole being. It determines how you think, what you think about, how you talk, what you talk about, what you do on a daily basis, and how you do what you do. Stressful life events can decrease the frequency of your vibration and change your thoughts, words, and actions. For example, vile, bad, ignorant, evil, angry, wicked, jealous, envious, unhappy, unhealthy, depressed, and violent individuals vibrate at a lower frequency than loving, peaceful, good, enlightened, and happy individuals. When you raise your own vibration to a higher level, your body, mind, and spirit will begin to resonate at a higher frequency and you will begin to realize your connection with God, the source of all knowledge, wisdom, and power. Raising your vibration has the benefit of supplying you with the inspiration, intuition, and extra-ordinary willpower to accomplish things that were seemingly impossible. Thus, a higher vibration brings you closer to fulfilling your mission and goals in life. How then do you raise your vibration to maintain a good health and improve your general well-being? There are several simple ways and means of raising your vibration for health purposes without spending a lot of money. The first thing is to develop a strategy for coping with stress which will always be in your life. Effective stress management will go a long way in raising the vibration of your being to its natural frequency. Tried and tested methods for dealing with stress include positive and creative thinking, constant prayer and meditation, purifying your body, mind, and spirit, practicing compassion in your daily life, loving God with all your heart, mind, and strength, loving your neighbors as you love yourself, reading inspirational books and journals, and listening to good and inspirational music.

Try Love

What is love? Love is the glue that holds the universe together. It is the purest of all positives. It is the unconquerable conqueror. Love is not blind, it sees most clearly. It inspires sympathy, patience, and tolerance. Love detects something good or salvageable in all negative situations. Love cannot be swayed from its goal or deterred. Love is ever loyal and never failing. Love is indomitable, unselfish, and selfless. It seeks to gain nothing. Love makes us a part of the invisible radiating center, then we live only to give. Give love, give happiness, give peace, and give off yourself abundantly. Love every individual expression for being unique. We need everyone, just as they need us. Love them and they will love you. Let us not be concerned over our popularity, but offer enough admiration and love for the best efforts of others. Feeling down? Find lots of people to love and appreciate and become too busy to be sad. When all else fails, try love.
