Human Biomagnetism

It is a basic law of physics that when an electric current flows through a conductor, a magnetic field is created in the surrounding space. The circulatory system is an excellent conductor of electricity because of its high salt content. The circulatory system transports blood and nutrients to every cell and tissue and conducts the electricity that originates mainly from the heart to all parts of the body. The electricity that flows through the human system is always accompanied by a magnetic field. Thus, the human body produces electromagnetism that consists of the electric field and the magnetic field. Your heart’s electricity is distributed throughout your body primarily through the circulatory system, which is a good conductor by virtue of its high salt content. Muscle contractions also generate electromagnetic pulses. Because energy fields are unbounded, the electromagnetic fields of the heart extend indefinitely into space. Evidence from modern medical research has shown that energy in the human body can register itself on electrical measuring meters. Electric fields are measured with the aid of surface electrodes. In clinical practice, heart electricity is measured by electrocardiogram (ECG) while brain electricity is measured by electroencephalogram (EEG). The magnetic field is measured with magnetometers.
